DIA LUNA is both the sly alias of Andrea Diaz and the name of her ongoing art-pop project with her cousin, producer, and engineer, Tomas Deltoro-diaz.
Over several years and between coasts, their record, Camellia, chronicled Dia’s sweeping search for identity and freedom among stories of ancestral lineage, American mythologies, and personal transformations.
Once a shy girl from Sacramento, California, she spent many years in New York in fruitful collaboration with distinguished musicians like Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs, Nada Surf)) and Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, Arcade Fire) where she expanded her talents as a co-writer and frontperson. She’s currently working on new music.
